It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our loving mom. Her beloved husband passed three short months ago and she is now reunited with the love of her life for all eternity.
Yvonne is predeceased by her parents Lillian and Gordon Motion, her husband Bob and her granddaughter Cassie Marie Thulin. Mom is survived by and will be greatly missed by her brother Russell (Sharon) and her four children Kenneth (Suzanne), Karen (Stu), Sandra (David) and Bruce; her eight grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Yvonne was born in Victoria and spent her childhood in Cumberland before moving to Campbell River. Mom attended St. Ann's Acadmey before graduating from St. Joseph's in 1952 as an RN. Yvonne was a well-known and respected nurse in the CR Hospital. She had fond memories of working with her fellow nurses and was referred to as the Grand Dame of the Maternity Ward.
Mom reminisced often about her luncheons with her dearest friends, Sewing Circle and dinner parties she hosted. She looked forward and loved her multiple trips to Victoria and cherished her family gatherings. Mom was a long time member of the St. Peter's Anglican Church.
Mom enjoyed life to the fullest and she welcomed everyone with a smile and open arms. She will be deeply missed by all. She was one of a kind and one of the best moms/grandmas one could ask for. Flowers gratefully declined. A Celebration of Life for both Bob and Yvonne will be held at a later date.
