Yvonne Lakeman of Chemainus, B.C., passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the age of 86 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Steven Locke, David Burney, Edwin Locke (Darcey McCallum), and Tammy Locke (Danny); and twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
She will also be dearly missed by Shelley Locke, and Jodi Brugge, as well as the staff and residents of The Steeples in Chemainus, and her faithful dog-walking friends.
Yvonne lived the majority of her life in Parksville, B.C., where she was an active member of the community alongside her husband Edwin Locke.
She was a partner in her husband's appliance repair business as well as a mother to four children and stepparent to three. Yvonne spent her final years in Chemainus, B.C., in semi-independent living.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, B.C.
