June 22, 1940 - September 15, 2021
Bill was born on June 22, 1940, at Toronto's East General Hospital. As a young man he served with the RCAF from 1957-1962. Bill later was involved in the Record Business in both Toronto and Calgary; and he owned a record store in Didsbury.
After 20 years in the business Bill moved on to become part owner of a restaurant in Sylvan Lake; Grumpys.... and he claims he was just that.... grumpy. After Bill's brother was killed by a drunk driver, he changed careers again moving into security work until his retirement. It was then that he moved to Courtenay.
After waiting 50 years Bill married his soul mate Catherine and said it was the "best thing he ever did!" They had six children collectively from previous marriages.
Bill is survived by his children David, Tim, Kim, Maria, and Laurel, Catharine's daughter Christine and several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
There will be no formal service at Bill's request.
