March 13, 1946 – June 10, 2021
Vaughn passed away peacefully at home with his wife Kelly and good friend Scott by his side. Vaughn was born and raised in Oxford, Nova Scotia. He moved to BC in the early 60’s, then off to the Yukon for 15 years. He moved to Campbell River in 1983, where he drove logging truck until he retired in 2011.
He enjoyed his many fishing trips with Scott and Pat, and many years of moose hunting with his wife and friends in Prince George.
Vaughn is survived by his wife Kelly. Daughters Judy MacDonald, Kathy (Dennis) Reese, grandchildren Daniel and Ryley – Marie of Whitehorse. Nephew Justin MacDonald of NS. Extended family Maxine Walker, Sharon (Earnie) Brown, Gerri (Eric) Brown of NS. Mother-in-law Sheila Thompson, brother-in-laws Greg and Randy and families.
Predeceased by his Dad Francis MacDonald and (Jean Fraser), mother Doris MacDonald, sister Judy Wood, brother Peter MacDonald of NS.
Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team (North), Dr. Morrinson, Jeanna, Sherri, Maddinson, Barb, you were the best. Also special thanks to Uncle Brian, Auntie Laura – Jean, cousin Carmey, Scott & Liz, Dan & Sandy, Reg & Lorrie, Pat & Linda, Ted & Sharon and Shelley for always being there for us over the past 3 years. I am forever grateful.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CR Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.
Celebration of life is at the Eagles Hall, Saturday July 3rd 2021 at 1 pm.
