May 26, 1954 - September 2, 2020
Terry leaves behind his 3 daughters: Andrea, Claire (Riley) and Catherine (Shawn), his sister Gail, several nephews and nieces, and his extensive circle of friends in Lantzville and Nanaimo.
He was born and raised in North and West Vancouver but Terry was an island man through and through since his move here in 1987 to pursue a career in aquaculture. In his younger years he would rather fish than do just about anything. He was also an accomplished and graceful skier, a talented hockey player, and a decent golfer. He loved animals, especially dogs and one in particular: Simon the yellow lab was Terry's loyal friend for many years. Terry was smart and funny with a sharp, dry wit. He worked hard in the 1990's with his then wife, Julie, to build Applecross Seafood Market where he greatly enjoyed the interaction with many loyal customers. He helped to create a beautiful home and garden in Lantzville for his family.
Dad, you taught us a lot of things about life. We know you loved us and were proud of us. We credit you with passing on to us your love of the ocean, your enjoyment of the outdoors, your green thumb, and your eclectic taste in music. Wherever you are now, we hope the salmon are running, the beer is cold, and the Canucks are winning.
Family and close friends will gather together at a later date to share remembrances of his life.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in his memory, to the BCSPCA.
