Peacefully in her sleep, Ruth passed on February 20, 2022. She was born in Victoria, B.C. on July 15, 1924.
Predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Harold, in 2009, and 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
She leaves 5 loving children, Jim (Jan), Janet, Debbie (Ken), Les (Denise) and Larry (Jan), 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her beloved sister Christine Doney and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was dedicated to her family, showing unending love and support. Ruth was quiet and determined, never wanting to be in the limelight, and always there when needed. She was hard-working, including home milk delivery in Victoria as a school girl.
She married Harold in 1950 and moved to Rose Valley, Saskatchewan. In 1954, they moved to their dairy farm in Cowichan Station. They loved their trips to Europe, New Zealand, Australia, and USA. They put many miles on their camper van, exploring Western Canada, visiting friends and family. There was always a deck of cards ready for a game of crib.
