Roy Sneddon

December 17, 1926 – April 30, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Roy; Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Great-Great Grandfather.
Predeceased by his wife of seventy years, June, his parents James and Mary and his sister Marjorie.
Leaving to mourn are his four daughters – Sandy (Al), Gail (Steve), Nancy (Jens), and Shirley (Don).
Seven Grandkids – Tammy (Vince), Dean (Erin), Jenelle (Dave), Troy (Rosie), Christy (Daryl), Casey (Sunny) and Lisa.
Eleven Great-Grandkids – Brianna (Chris), Lene (Kyle) Geoffrey, Kailem, Mayah, Jaala, Trey, Matthea, Christian, Samantha and Amias.
And one Great-Great Grandchild – Clara.
Dad was happiest with family gatherings at the beach, fishing and hunting with his son-in-law Steve, tending his garden and lawn which he cared for almost on a daily basis. He loved bonfires, singing around the piano and dancing at every family celebration. The man loved to “cut a rug”.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date when Covid restrictions relax.
Special thanks to Dr. David Owen, the Home Care Nurses who tended to dad and the Nanaimo Palliative Care Nurses who cared for Dad as he passed.
