December 29, 1967 - March 29, 2022
It is with heavy hearts we announce that on March 29, 2022, Ron passed away due to complications of kidney disease. His family was by his side. He is survived by his wife Rhonda; daughter Ashley (Dan) Rutti; siblings: Paul Jr. (Caulette) Blandin, Myra (Dalan) Hawker and Norma (Judy) Davey. Ronnie was predeceased by his mother Loreen and father Paul. Ron was born in Duncan in 1967 and grew up in Lake Cowichan. Although there was no job he couldn't master, he found his calling as a red seal baker. He worked as a baker throughout the Cowichan Valley until a diagnosis of kidney disease forced him into early retirement. To the people he knew best, Ron unsurprisingly surpassed his life expectancy by many years. Ron was an intelligent, friendly and kind man. Always willing to help anyone no matter the situation.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Sands Funeral Chapel - Duncan, 187 Trunk Road. All welcome.
