It is with profound sadness that the family of Rob Poole announces his passing in Nanaimo, B.C.
Predeceased by his wife Colleen, Rob leaves behind a loving family to celebrate his life: daughter Kristi, son Ryan (Nikki); grandchildren Jordyn, Kayla, Kobe, and Kruz; siblings Mary, Bill (Linda), and Kathleen; brother in-law Ray (Annette), sister in-law Noelle (Tony); many nieces and nephews and their families, as well as his many friends.
Rob was born and raised in the Comox Valley and attended school in Cumberland. He worked hard in the logging industry up and down Vancouver Island and the mainland.
Once Rob retired, he and Colleen did some traveling. As they both were Nascar fans he and Colleen enjoyed times in Vegas at the race track. Rob's favorite race car driver was Dale Earnhardt. They have a sign on their house, Dale Earnhardt Drive.
Rob will be remembered and missed most for his sense of humour, kindness, compassion, generosity, and consideration of others.
The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, medical professionals and staff for the care given to Rob in the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
Rob, we hope you made a stop on your way to join Colleen and picked up a Bud's burger, then hitched a ride on the wing of a hummingbird or dragonfly, while the rainbows guided you.
We will miss you.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Rob's memory to a charity of your choice.
