1924 -2018 ~ Ray was born in the UK and served in the British Army, Grenadier Guards, from 1943 to 1947.
Post WWII he served in the metropolitan police in London until he joined the Canadian army and immigrated to Canada in 1953.
He traveled extensively and always thought Vancouver Island as the best of all places to live.
He was a proud veteran and will be remembered by friends, family and comrades throughout Canada and the UK.
A remembrance and celebration will be held at the Chemainus legion in the spring.
