February 2, 1935 - March 8, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ray on March 8, 2021. He was born on February 2, 1935 in Lousana, Alberta. Ray spent thirty years in the Royal Canadian Navy, loved sports, played softball for the Navy and when retired played golf at Cowichan Golf Club.
He will be missed by his wife of 61 years, Maartje; by his children: Arlene, Richard and Raymond (Sally); by his grandchildren: Raymond (Tracey), Hugh (Kole), Catharina, Michael and Kylee; and by his great grandchildren, Kaylee and Rowan.
Thanks to the staff at Victoria General Hospital, Cowichan District Hospital and Sunridge Care Home. By request there will be no service, but a family get together will be held when COVID-19 will permit. The family welcomes donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers.
