In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ralph. Born in Nanaimo in 1935, one of 5 children of Ernest and Elsie Webster.
He is survived by his brother Norman (Susan). He will be remembered with love by Bobbie (Roberta), his devoted wife of 64 years, 3 children - Gordon (Dawn), Grant (Lynda), Lisa (Shane), 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was an electrician by trade and ran a successful electrical contracting business in Nanaimo with his friend and partner James.
Retiring in the late 1980's he had the good fortune to travel the world and winter in Arizona with his wife and friends. Ralph liked to keep active, early days included the local stock cars, later family ski holidays. A member of NYC he enjoyed boating and sailboat racing.
Ralph was active in senior sports and considered himself lucky to compete with multiple BC and Arizona Slow-Pitch teams, at times nearing 300 games in a year. He also enjoyed Golfing, Lawn Bowling and Curling.
He was amazed with how many people he met and got to know along the way, he talked about his many friends and acquaintances often.
Ralph's family would like to acknowledge and thank his loyal friends for all your camaraderie over the years. We would also like to thank the many doctors, nurses, staff, volunteers at NRGH and RJH Palliative Care Units, and Nanaimo
Home Health Care for all their help and support over the last year and a half. Thank you to the Red Cross for their loan of equipment that helped keep his stay at home more comfortable during this trying time.
By his request there will not be a service.
