Phillip passed away at the Campbell River Hospital on December 14, 2018. He was predeceased by his father Phil Benastick Sr. and is survived by his loving wife Eileen, his mother Mary; sons Rick (Diane), John, Alan (Shannon), (Sandra), daughter Allison; grandchildren Kai, Hannah, Joseph, Cole, Sam and Kate; brothers Keith (Linda); sisters Noreen Labarre (David) and Colleen Moore (Stephen); nieces and nephews Tracey, Kevin, Jolene, Rick, Kim & Cory, Shane, Alexis, Brandon, Jessica & Jack and Morgan (Sophie, Ben), aunts and uncles Vye, Beth and Phil Ritthaler,as well as many other relatives and friends.

Phil was a long-time member of Riverside Truckers Association in Williams Lake. "Chief" spent 35 years in the business of Log Hauling in Williams Lake area, and is still close friends with Jack MacKill, Jim Redicop, Pete Hamilton and Carl Stromner whom he worked with for years. After retirement he spent joyous hours in the garden. Loved fussing in the shed doing various repairs.

The center of his life was his family of 4 children and grandchildren. He loved when they visited, and he could visit them.

Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to the SPCA - Campbell River or the Cancer Society would be appreciated.

An open house will be held at 2264 Canterbury, from 1-3 pm, Saturday, January 19, 2019. Please come and share your memories with Eileen and Alli.

Celebration of life at Horsefly Hall, 5772 Horsefly Road, Horsefly BC will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 1-3 pm.
