Perry Schmidt

Perry passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018.

His passing was on his own terms, and he always maintained his very individual and entertaining sense of humor.

Perry was born in The Pas, MB, on January 13, 1968. He is survived by his wife Christina Thompson, step son Cameron Thompson, step-son Brennan Thompson, his sister Brenda Payne (Ron Payne), niece Cassandra Payne, nephew Colten Payne, and many other loving friends and family. He is predeceased by his father William Schmidt and his mother Donna Schmidt.

Perry was larger than life in every way, with his engaging smile, kind heart and giving nature.

He was very well known for random acts of kindness to strangers and loved ones alike, often bringing gifts big and small to brighten somebody's day. It was a gift if you were lucky enough to know Perry, and he will be very much missed.

A celebration of Perry's life will be held, Friday, November 9th, 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm in his home at 1180 14th Street, Courtenay BC., light snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP Brenda at bpayne@telus.net.
