November 14, 1942 - April 11, 2022
Pat was born November 14, 1942 in Mount Forest, Ontario and died April 11, 2022 in Nanaimo, BC just a few months shy of her 80th birthday.
Survived by brother, Nair Bailey (Calgary); sister, Judy Burwell (NB); son, Chris Stuart (Nanaimo); daughter, Niki Stuart (Ladysmith); son, Robert Rife (UK); former husband, Gil Stuart; and many friends/family including but not limited to Harriet, Keiko and Peter, Janet, Patti, Sue, Reaching Out family (Holly, Duffy, Tim, Jane, Pat and many others), and Raeanne, just to name a few.
She is also survived by one grandchild whom she loved dearly and was extremely proud of despite not having had a close relationship with them.
Our mother spent most of her working life after raising us as an accomplished administrative assistant (secretary) and particularly enjoyed her time at The University of Calgary and Vancouver Island University where she met many lifelong friends.
Pat and her family wish to thank all of the medical professionals including Dr. Javaheri, Dr. Love, Deanne, home care support staff, and the palliative care team of nurses, care aids and house keeping and support staff who cared for her these last few months and days.
No service or flowers as per her wishes. All who knew her are invited to celebrate her life upon her upcoming 80th birthday.
