February 4, 2022
Dearest family and friends it is with greatest happiness for lives well lived and deep sadness we announce publicly the passing of our mother, Myra Osolin, the morning of February 4, 2022 and our father, A. Grant Osolin, on March 1, 2021. Born in Port Alberni 1941 to Lydia & Earnest Bradley, and 1940 to Grace & Alfred Osolin, they grew up in Alberni & Misson, BC and Great Central Lk & Parksville BC, respectively.
They established our family in Parksville, Coombs, and Nanaimo. Mom spent most years working at Harmac, had a life long association with Nanaimo Kinettes, and enjoyed later years with the Bastion Babes of Red Hat fame. While dad had many occupations many will know of him through his life long association with Nanaimo Kinsmen and the 25 years in which we hosted families at Kin Camp-Out in Aug at the Osolin/McDermid family farm in Parksville.
In lieu of flowers due to mom and dad's life long commitment to Kin we ask that you support your local Kinette, Kinsmen or Kin Club so they can continue their service to your community. For notification towards a celebration of lives, conditions permitting send to mosolin@shaw.ca
