In Loving Memory ~
With sadness, we share the passing of Michael John Miller on May 30, 2022.
He leaves behind his devoted wife Elisabeth, 2 sisters Jenny & Jill, brother David, 4 kids Selene, Robert, Claire & Colin, 8 grandchildren & 1 great grand-child.
He was 92 & would have turned 93 at the end of August. He was an avid gardener, acapella baritone singer, reader, hiker, sudoku master, and an accomplished Scottish country dancer. He was a finger-waggler, a notorious tease, and could charm any baby (or at least spend a lot of energy trying), to the embarrassment of anyone who was with him.
Michael loved nature and did many challenging hikes in his younger years including Nepal when he was in his 70's. He was passionate about rhododendrons and was part of the rhododendron society in Nanaimo for many years. He loved dogs, and even though he didn't have one of his own for many years, he would befriend any that he came across. He had a big and boisterous personality and loved a good debate. Those who knew Mike, know what an intelligent (and often opinionated) man he was.
He loved conversation and could offer up a passionate educated argument on a wide variety of topics. Mike left his mark on this world and he is missed by many.
