Peggy sadly passed away on March 7, 2022, born in Nanaimo along with her twin sister, Elizabeth Lightfoot McCallum who passed away June 3, 2018 to parents William (Rusty) and Mabel Russell and is survived by her brother, William (Bill) Blaine Russell along with her children Wendy Thompson, Terry Thompson, Grant Thompson and Robert Thompson, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Peggy lost her husband Donald Frederick Thompson of 68 years of marriage on January 20, 2020 and her son, Donald Frederick Thompson Jr. on December 8, 2017.
Peggy ran a daycare over 20 years at her home on Jingle Pot Road as well as her garage sales for over 40 years. Peggy took in any stray animal specialty was dogs and gave them a very good home at the LazyT.
