It is with a profound sense of loss we announce the passing of Malcolm Donaldson. Malcolm was predeceased by his father, Stuart and mother, Joan. He is survived by his brother, Brian; sister-in-law, Michelle; nieces, Ainsley and Kenzie; and stepmother, Kae.
Malcolm Donaldson was blessed to have spent 30 years of his life as a resident of Nanaimo Association for Community Living (NACL). During his time with this agency, Malcolm was given the opportunity to enjoy a full and rich life due to the support, care and dedication given by the front-line staff. As Malcolm's health needs increased so too did his level of care; over the years, he lived at Departure Bay House, Portsmouth House and Kennedy House. Each of these residences provided a home for Malcolm in every sense of the word. It is true that there are hidden angels amongst us because our family experienced this regularly through our involvement with NACL. Words alone cannot express our appreciation for the care that Malcolm received over the years.
It is only fitting that Malcolm's celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 25th at 11:00 am at Nanaimo Association for Community Living, 96 Cavan Street.
