Lucien Prive, known to family and friends as “Lou,” passed away on December 28, 2018, in Nanaimo B.C., at the age of 85 years, after a courageous battle.
Lou was born on April 24th, 1933 in Cadillac Sask., to Wilfred and Jeanne (Desharnais) Prive. He left home for work, following cousins out east, and eventually became a crane operator, his career until retirement. Together with spending time with family, he was passionate about curling and golfing.
Lou is survived by his three children, Jeanne Prive, (Douglas Breux), Gerald Prive and Anita Croteau (Steve Croteau), three grandchildren, Tessa, Joel and Gerald, and three great grandchildren, Hunter, Jeremiah, Tanner. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Laurianne (Andy), Lorette, Romeo (Stella), Normand (Shaughna), Clement, as well as, Carol Prive, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Jeanne & Wilfred Prive, two much loved brothers; Leo Prive and Wilf Prive, as well as brothers and sisters in laws.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 3rd, 2019, 11:00 am at Sands Funeral Home, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo B.C.
