Born at Ladysmith, BC. Died at Chemainus, BC. Laura passed away suddenly.
Predeceased by father Gordon Kriese, survived by mother Jane Haines, daughter Brittany Pitre, siblings Ray Kriese, David Kriese, Susan Weiss and longtime friend Fred Plester.
Laura grew up in Chemainus, her cousins have entertaining stories of her teenage exploits. After graduation she moved to Halifax and later to Langford where daughter Brittany was born.
She worked at the Ministry of Health for many years. Laura was crazy about cats and loved shopping.
