Laura-Ann Reid passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the age of 70.
Predeceased by her parents Scotty and Wilhelmina Reid, brother Davin, and nephew Todd; Laura-Ann is survived by her children Al (Erika) Loiselle and Karmeyn Loiselle; grandchildren Kasia, Austin, Madilyn, and Isla; brother Wayne (Beth) Reid; nephews Sterling, Noah, Michael; nieces Katrina and Niki, as well as extended family.
Laura-Ann was very involved in the Port Alberni community, working at the Port Alberni Association for Community Living for over 20 years. She was also devoted to Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 40 years and a member of the Fung Loy Kok Taoist Tai Chi community. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at McLean Mill, 5633 Smith Road, Port Alberni, BC on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 1 - 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Laura-Ann's memory to Canadian Cancer Society, Vancouver Island Region, Main 101 - 1537 Hillside Ave, Victoria, BC V8T 2C1.
