Kari Garteig passed away peacefully on July 1, 2019 at the age of 88 1/2.
Kari was born in Oslo, Norway, Dec. 8, 1930. Kari immigrated to Canada in 1955 with the love of her life and husband of 66 years Kjell. They had three boys Paal, Per and Espen who produced 2 grandsons; Ryan and Michael. Kari made a great life for herself in Canada, and was involved in music and always a voice for humanity and people in need. She will be missed.
There will be an open house at 1367 Lincoln Green Place, Nanaimo, BC on Saturday, July 6 from 2 - 5 pm.
