In Loving Memory ~
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Justin Bernard Lawrenson on April 19, 2022 at the age of 36. Justin passed away peacefully and surrounded by family after a 15 month battle with brain cancer.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Natalie, his daughter Parker, parents David and Karen Lawrenson, parent in-laws Randall and Darlene Young, brother in-law John Young, grandfather Bernard Lawrenson, grandmother Patricia Hacking, many uncles, aunts, cousins, and countless friends and colleagues.
Justin is predeceased by his grandfather Wallace Hacking, cousin Lisa Lawrenson, and grandmother Elizabeth Lawrenson.
Justin was born and raised in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. He spent 8 years in the Canadian Armed Forces and completed two tours to Afghanistan. He worked and lived in Alberta for the past 9 years where he had a successful career in the oilfield, met and married the love of his life, and was blessed with his beautiful daughter. Throughout his life, Justin was an avid outdoorsman, musical talent, bicyclist, hiker, hunter, motorcyclist, beer enthusiast, and above all else, a proud family man.
The impact Justin made on the world and all of the people he met along his path is immeasurable. Justin was the most beautiful, genuine person with the biggest heart and the deepest love for life. He had the warmest smile, the most infectious laugh and a presence that could bring light to any room he was in. Our lives are all a little darker without him here. He will be missed by so many and will be loved forever.
A celebration of life will be held in the coming months. Details will be shared with family and friends.
If desired, donations can be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or Slay Society Inc.
