June Mary Lamb (nee Gautby) passed peacefully into death on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at the Views of St. Joseph's in Comox. June is predeceased by parents Laura and Eric Gautby of Katrine, ON and sisters Patience and Dorothy.

She was born in Knott End, Lancashire, England. The family emigrated to Canada in 1929 and settled in southern Ontario, where June's sisters were born. Following high school graduation, June took training as a floral designer and eventually opened her own shop in Toronto. Later, after selling her business, June took secretarial and book keeping courses and had a new career.

June married Roy Morley Sanderson and together raised 2 children, Shawn and Scott. The young family moved to Montreal, where Roy was involved in engineering of the St. Lawrence Sea Way. Roy passed away 1972. June married Robert Heron Lamb, son of family friends, in 1977, and lived in Grimsby, ON. June and Bob moved to the Comox Valley in 1982.

June appreciated the mild winters, ocean and mountain scenery, always a lover of nature.

June is survived by her husband, Robert Lamb; daughter Shawn (Spencer) and grandson Patrick Brogan; son Scott Sanderson of Milton Ontario; and step grandson Kristopher Midgley.

June loved the Comox Valley and was an enthusiastic volunteer at St Joseph's Hospital.
