Joe Doherty of Lake Cowichan, beloved husband of Angie Pattemore, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the age of 69 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his spouse Angie; sons: Josh (Louise), Ryan (Andrea), Dustin (Alison), Mike (Amanda), Reece (Jillisa), Jeremy (Sheri) Lin; grandchildren: Danielle, Darren, Katelyn, Natalie, Cade, Carly, Reese, Ayla, Sophia, Bo, Michelle, Braden, Amy, Kelsey, Brooke, Logan, Alanna; brother: Sean (Liana), sisters: Christina (Wayne) Forslund, Terry Doherty, Sharon (Dennis) Carlson, Josephine Doherty, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Joe was predeceased by his parents John and Teresa as well as by sisters: Judy and Joanne.
Born in Duncan, Joe was raised in Lake Cowichan. He was a hard and dedicated worker in and around the area of Lake Cowichan. He was a proud and amazing father to his 5 sons whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved playing a good game of poker and appreciated travelling.
Joe's gentle and wise nature will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A special thank you to all of the healthcare staff for their excellent care and support during his battle with cancer. Joe loved the Lord and died in confidence knowing that this end is a new beginning.
