John was a member of the Elks Lodge for 37 years. He was a farmer in Saskatchewan and a Fork Lift Worker in the Elk Falls Mill in Campbell River. John was a jack-of-all-trades; he could fix anything. He enjoyed building and mechanical work on the farm and in Campbell River. In his spare time, he made tripods for camping, gardened, fished, walked daily, enjoyed having a cold one now and then, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He would often say at the end of a phone call "Bye-for-now".
A phenomenal thank you to all the staff of Yucalta Lodge and Dr. Veerapen.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service. A private internment of his ashes will take place on Friday, May 8, 2020.
