It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our Mom, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
Jean was pre-deceased by her husband Patrick Elford in 2008 and her Grandson Keyvan Elford in 2009. Mom is survived by her four children, Jim Elford (Charon), Joanne Elford (Steve), Judy Daviduk (Dan), Jeanette Delaney, 9 Grandchildren, Jamie, Tristan, Jeff , Devon, James, Marley, Carrie, Jessica, Sarah and their families.
Mom was born in Poole, England. She met and married Dad in England in 1953. They immigrated to Canada and Started a new life and a family in Prince Rupert, Queen Charlottes and settled in Nanaimo in the 50's. Mom celebrated her 90th Birthday in January. Mom lived a full life filled with the love of her Family and Friends that she loved like Family. She loved Bingo, thrifting, family gatherings and a good Scotch. Mom was blessed to remain in her own home for 65 years.
Our heartfelt thanks to her Nurse Shelley, Care Aids, and the Angels at Palliative Care, NRGH. Special thanks to her Grandson Jamie for the compassion and nursing care he gave her. A private family service was held on May 12, 2022 at Cedar Memorial Gardens where she rests with Dad.
