January 5, 1929 - August 10, 2019
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Jean Francis Voysey on August 10, 2019 at the age of 90 years.
Sadly pre-deceased by her husband George and son Dennis. Survived by her daughters Marilyn Lorenzo, Louise Voysey, Pamela (Dennis) Royan and son Greg (Laurie) Voysey; as well as multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Jean moved with her family to Port Alberni at the age of 9 from the Comox Valley. In later years she settled into the Alberni Valley to start a family of her own. She loved many of the simple things in life and dedicated her time to raising her children. She also was known for her elaborate gardens and spent time writing short stories and poetry as well as painting and drawing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
As our Mom was a passionate supporter of the SPCA, in lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA https://spca.bc.ca/donate/ can be made in Jean's memory.
