It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother Jane, in Campbell River, BC on August 31, 2021.
Jane was born and raised in Red Deer and Grand Forks then achieved a teaching degree in Victoria, BC. After graduating she traveled Europe and taught in London, England.
On her return she settled in Prince George where she taught in a one room schoolhouse and where she met and married Jasper Petrus.
They and their four children moved to Campbell River in 1965 where she lived in the same house, enjoying "her beautiful view" till she moved to Yucalta Lodge in February 2019.
Jane was involved in the Girl Guides and MADD for many years. Met weekly with friends for Bridge and enjoyed attending church service.
Jane was predeceased by her husband Jasper, her sons Ronald and Robert. She is survived by her daughter Heidi, son Jim (Sandra) and grandson Sam.
Jane was a resident of Yucalta Lodge for her last years. We would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff for the loving care she enjoyed.
