A true Ladysmither', Mom lived her entire life in this amazing little town and over her eighty plus years knew many of residents. A dedicated historian and awarded a life-time membership of the Ladysmith Historical Society, Mom was so proud and honored to be part of the wonderful historical/archive team.
She was like "Ladysmith's Google" when they got stumped on a photo, building or family she was always asked "Do you know this..."
Mom co-wrote a few books with the Ladysmith Historical Society to which she was also immensely proud of. The Gap book being very personal to her and all those who spent many summers fishing and camping there.
Mom's family was especially important to her and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were all so very dear to her heart. Summers spent camping in the motorhome, teaching beading and metis culture, the cheese bun lunches and her much loved fried bread were some of her special moments they will all cherish.
Rest easy Mom, with love, you are missed by many.
