Howard Kirk Montgomery

March 27, 1957 - September 6, 2019
It is with heavy hearts and sadness we announce the sudden passing of Kirk Montgomery. He left us with the same grace that he lived his life, at peace at his beautiful lakeside home.
He was born and raised in Saskatoon where he attended Churchill public school and Aden Bowman Collegiate. After high school, Kirk's love of the coast drew him to Tofino, BC, where he began his lengthy, successful career in the geoduck clam fishery as a diver. Soon after, he met his life partner Gail. They were married in May 1980 and raised two beautiful daughters, Meaghan and Lindsay.
His passion for diving took him and Gail to many interesting places around the globe enjoying underwater adventures together.
In 2010, he finished building the home at the lake that he had always dreamed of. This, along with so many other projects he accomplished really showed that he was able to achieve all that he set his mind and heart to do.
Kirk was a kind and caring person who always made time for the people in his life, and will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved him during his short time with us.
Kirk will be deeply missed by his wife Gail, and daughter Meaghan (Landon), grandchildren Olivia, and Oakley; and daughter Lindsay(Brandon)and granddaughter Kaelyn, as well as all the cherished nephews and nieces who enjoyed spending time fishing and playing at the lake. Kirk was predeceased by his parents Howard and Joyce and his brother in law Joe Thomas.
We have set aside a day, for friends and family to gather and remember. October 19, 2019, 12-3 pm.
