It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harvey Keith Keeping on February 21, 2022 at Stanford Village, Parksville, B.C.
Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory are his children, Jeanne Maksymchuk (Jerry) of Vegreville, Alberta and Terry Keeping (Deana) of Nanaimo, B.C., grandchildren whom he loved very much, Tara Dickie (Jonathan), Tracy Keeping, Brent Keeping (Natasha), Michelle Maksymchuk, Krista Gegolick (Dayton), Amanda Maksymchuk, Ashley Lee (Jun), Joel Attig, Mark Attig & Jessie Attig, great grandchildren whom held a special place in his heart, Elice, Sydnee, Channing, Cheyanne, Jayne, Archer, Willow, Isobell and Russell.
Predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Arlene, children Arthur, Steven, Sandra, son-in-law Marvin Attig and grandson Kale Attig.
Harvey will be greatly missed by so many and will be remembered for his love of his family, generosity, hard work ethic and sense of humor. He was the first to laugh at his jokes and always laughed the loudest and longest.
It was hard not to be drawn in by his kind and gentle nature. He was always there to lend a hand and wouldn't leave until the job was done. Harvey loved spending time with family and friends, camping and the many trips to Yuma, Arizona with his wife Arlene. Harvey will forever be in the hearts of the lives he touched.
Thank-you to the amazing staff at both Stanford Village and Keeping House for creating a home for our dad and for always treating him with such care and compassion.
There will be no service as per Harvey's wishes.
A heart of gold has stopped beating. Rest easy Dad. We know mom was waiting for you with open arms and a Honey Do list. Thank-you for giving us such a great role model to look up to.
We are forever going to miss you and will cherish our memories of you.
