Gordon Reginald Bate, Capt. (Ret) passed away on December 24, 2021 at Comox, BC.
Gord was born in East Kildonan, Manitoba on April 21, 1932 and grew up in the Winnipeg area until he joined the Canadian Air Force in June 1952. After posting across Canada, his final posting was to Comox. He retired from the CAF in July 1982. Gord and Fran enjoyed many wonderful years of retirement, travel and family. We will miss him dearly.
Predeceased by parents and brother, and son Greg.
Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Frances; daughters Cathie (Ole), Connie (Peter), Karen; grandchildren Kendra, Alison (Geoff), Jennifer (Travis), Emi and their families; and extended family.
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, no service will be held.
