March 7, 1926 - March 23, 2022
In loving memory ~
Born March 7, 1926 in Coaticook Quebec, died March 23, 2022 in Duncan BC. Gerry was a lifetime member of the Canadian Armed Forces, having joined as a teenager and served during WW II. He was an avid reader and had a special interest in current and world affairs. His inherent technical skills led to his keen interest in classic cars and as a young man he was on the cutting edge of the original hot-rodders, an interest which he passed on to his 2 sons. Gerry was a very sociable man and enjoyed being with friends and family alike. Always willing to help out, he would often stop and lend a hand to strangers in need. He will be profoundly missed by all that loved him for the kind and generous man that he was.
Gerry is survived by his wife Edith, sons David (Jan) and Blayne (Donna), granddaughters Jessica and Kristina (Byron), great grandchildren Leila, Lawson and Brielle as well as several surviving sisters and brothers in law who were also close and lifelong friends. Gerry is predeceased by his first wife of 58 years, Myrtle.
There will be a celebration of life with family and close friends at a later date.
