Alex McLure passed away at Cairnsmore Place on October 21, 2022 at the age of 94 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Dayle Cruickshank (Rob), Pam McLure (Grant), Dean McLure (Fiona) and 2 grandchildren: Kiarra and Rylan.
He was predeceased by his partner Bea Cooper, brother George and sister Nettie.
Although Alex was born in Vancouver, he spent most of his life in Duncan, first working at Duncan Garage as a body man, then a Welder/Millwright at "Youbou" for 46 years, retiring in 1989. He was a long standing active member of both the Royal Canadian Legion and Elks Club. He was a volunteer fireman with Duncan Volunteer than enjoyed his time as a volunteer and lifelong member firefighter for the North Cowichan Fire Department.
A Private Service was held.
