It is with great sadness the family of Jim Jones announces his passing. Surrounded by family Jim passed away peacefully on November 5th,2018 in Nanaimo BC at the age of 91.
Jim is survived by his wife Pat, the mother of his children Pearl, Children; Fred (Tammy), Jim (Tori), Ken (Marilyn) and daughter Anne Vermette (Norm) stepchildren; Belinda, Margaret, and Russell, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jim lived in Port Alberni for several years, working for Rayner & Bracht from 1954-1965, where some of his duties were running line shovel in Port Renfrew for highways, running open cat in the middle of winter on Hydro Hill, heavy duty mechanic & shop foreman. Jim was well known as owner/operator of Jones Power Saw. Jim later moved to Nanaimo where he worked for Share Cost Rentals and VMAC.
Dad will be greatly missed by all.
A memorial will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, November 17th, at the Kingdom Hall 6011 Doumont Rd Nanaimo, BC.
