In loving memory ~
It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank Maximick, who died suddenly in Courtenay on October 24, 2023, at the age of 53.
Frank is survived by his children, Taylor, Tamara and Rhyver; his grandson Arthur; his parents, Bill and Rena; his brothers Sam and Norman (Lora); his step-son Cale; his wife, Nonnie; and many, many friends and extended family members.
Frank was born and raised in the Comox Valley. Growing up with his two older brothers, he was a fierce competitor and a great athlete. As an adult, he loved his family and he loved his work, and he put all he had into both. His entire work life was spent on the water. Starting at age 15, Frank spent his summers fishing on trollers, and after graduating from Vanier High School, he worked for Harken Towing in Port Coquitlam for more than 25 years, commuting back and forth from Cumberland to Port Coquitlam every two weeks.
Frank's intelligence, creativity, quick wit and sense of fun will be sorely missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on November 25th at The Fallen Alders Community Hall, 3595 Royston Road, Courtenay.
