FRANCIS “FRANK” WILLIAM OSBORNE

Frank Osborne died peacefully in his sleep on the morning of June 14, 2017. He was predeceased by his brothers David and Paul, and is survived by his wife Delores, his son Frank, daughter Katharine and his grandson Erik, his sisters Beverly and Marta, sisters-in-law Pat (Ink), Anne, Fran (Rick), Kathleen (Dan), and brothers-in-law Alex (Linda) and Jim, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Frank was born on November 9, 1944 in St. John, New Brunswick, he served in the Armed Forces for 25 years, where he met his beloved wife of 48 years, who was in the Navy. A Veteran of the 1st Gulf War, he worked to keep Canadian Service Members healthy during their deployment. He later taught preventative medicine at McGill University.

Frank was particularly close to his grandson, who spent may happy summers in Port Alberni with him. Frank had many interests, but his passion of late was researching genealogy, where he uncovered a rich vein in the history of North America.
