Emmanuel passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 88 years on September 5, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife Andree (nee Gill) of 62 years; his children Luiz (Patti), Robert (Doris) Cynthia and Susan (Grant) and his cherished grandchildren (Nadia, Justin and Tia).
Emmanuel was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Canada in 1949. He obtained his Master's Degree in Structural Engineering from McGill University in Montreal in 1961 and practiced for more than 30 years with his own engineering consulting firm.
Emmanuel retired and spent time with Andree at their country home that the family built together in Sutton, Quebec before moving to Maple Bay on Vancouver Island, BC. He was very passionate about sailing and travelling with Andree around the world.
Our father's life was well-lived and always filled with interesting conversations around current affairs, art, politics, his grandchildren and animals.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on October 5, 2019 at 11 am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 790 Kilmalu Road, Mill Bay, BC.
