Betty passed away peacefully at her residence, The Views at St. Joseph's.
Betty was pre-deceased by her parents Henry & Elizabeth Peters, oldest daughter Wendy and most recently (April 24, 2018) her husband Henry Pankratz. Betty is survived by her children Don, Ron (Gillian), Sharon (Jim) and Donna (Scott) as well as grandchildren Tara (Warren), Keith (Vanessa), Justin, Duncan, Cory, Ryan (Karmen), Devin and Paige (Thomas) and great grandchildren Madison and Thompson. She is also survived by her sister Ruth (Ike) and family.
The family wishes to thank all the doctors and nursing staff at North Island Hospital Courtenay and especially the staff at Mountain Views at St. Joseph's for taking such good care of Elizabeth during her time of need.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018, 11 am at the Black Creek Cemetery followed by a gathering at the Black Creek United Mennonite Church, 2277 Enns Rd, Black Creek.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations made in Betty's memory to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or Alzheimer's Society Canada would be greatly appreciated.
