With profound sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy Perkins. Dorothy was born and grew up in New Brunswick, where she met and married her husband Russell. Together they embarked on a grand adventure to Port Alberni, enjoying new friends, careers, and family. Dorothy's working life was devoted to new mothers and babies.
She cherished being a maternity nurse at West Coast General Hospital, where she was admired and respected by co-workers and patients. Affectionately known as Perky, she was caring, fun, and full of life. She loved her family and friends and was adored in return.
Sadly, Russell passed away in 2006, and her world was never the same. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Pam (Dave), her daughter Sharri and son-in-law Andy, her grandchildren Mandi, Jenna, and Gage, her great grandchildren Kagan, Kenzie, and Addy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rest in Peace dear Mom and Gramma. You will be forever in our hearts.
The family wishes to thank everyone who took such great care of Dorothy. A private family celebration of her life will be held.
