It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Dorothy Elizabeth Barker, on February 23rd. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Dorothy was born in Preston, England on April 29th, 1942. She met and married the love of her life, Brian Barker, in 1962. In 1966 they moved to BC and eventually settled in Campbell River where they raised their 3 sons. Brian passed away in 1995.

Dorothy was passionate about spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an important part of every project that her family tackled. Dorothy enjoyed travelling to see family, square dancing, helping out the St. Peter's Anglican Church Women's group, knitting and crocheting.

Dorothy will be sadly missed by her boys Christopher, Alan (Leah), and Reg (Bonnie) and her three beautiful grandchildren Ashley, Matthew and Jack. She was predeceased by Sister Margaret and Brothers Jim and Henry. She is survived by her Brother Ted and Sister Kathleen as well as numerous family and friends, all who will miss her quick wit and infectious laugh.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Anglican Church on Saturday, March 9th at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to 363 Captain Brain Barker Squadron - Royal Air Cadets of Campbell River at # 10 Jubilee Parkway, Campbell River BC 250-923-1001.
