Donald Nelson Housego, age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Dufferin Place in Nanaimo. Don was predeceased by his mother Jean Henderson Housego, his father Alfred Housego and his beloved wife Agnes Housego. Don is survived by his children Bonnie (Laurence) Read, Dawn (Ian) Redden and Stewart (Nicole)Housego, his grandchildren Aaron McKie, Darla (Pat) Thiara, Cody Housego, Brianne (Travis)Peters, Adrian Housego, Abigail Redden, Jocelyn Redden and his great grandchildren Mya, Emry and Asher Thiara and Lily Peters.
Don was born in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan on July 15, 1934. As a young man he joined the Royal Canadian Navy and served during the Korean War. Don went on to become a Fisheries Enforcement Officer in his civilian life. Don enjoyed woodwork, was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed camping with family and friends.
