Denny as he was known to most was born Nov. 20, 1943 in Cumberland, BC.

He spent his young and formative years growing up in Union Bay and always had wonderful stories and memories of the Bay. As a young man he went to BCIT where he took boat building and he excelled at drafting, but he was a small-town boy and decided not to pursue it and moved back to Courtenay. Denny did a few different jobs then got into drywalling which he also excelled at and was known as one of the best in the valley for many years.

He met and married Donna, the love of his life. They had two children, daughter Debby and son David. Denny enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and in later years assisting Donna with some of her crafts.

For many years Denny was also involved with hockey, ball and drag racing. He built the "Mini Brute" from the ground up and the whole family spent many years at the drag strip both Cobble Hill and Mission. Denny decided he wanted to slowdown and have a quieter pace, so he and Donna spent the last 10 years in Gold River only having just returned to the Comox Valley. He met many new friends, reconnected with old ones and had wonderful neighbors. He especially loved fishing at Nootka Sound and camping at Muchalet Lake.

Denny was a mans man but also had a softer side for family, especially his grandchildren who he loved and enjoyed immensely.

He was a brother, husband, father, papa, uncle and friend to many. Denny was perfectly imperfect and we all loved him just the way he was.

Predeceased by his father Harry Wynne, step father Gordon McGee and mother Lavinia McGee. Left to mourn: his wife Donna, daughter Debby/Gord, son David, grandchildren; Brennen, Jaymee, Bryce and Justin, brothers Daryl (Maureen) and Ray (Angela), sister Marjorie (Robert), brothers-in-law Ian (Chris), Neil (Barb), sister-in-law (Mary) and all his nieces, nephews and families.

The family would like to thank all the dedicated doctors and nurses at Gold River Clinic, Campbell River Hospital, Royal Jubilee and CV Hospital for all they did for Denny. You gave us three more years and we are so very grateful.
