Passed away on April 7, 2019 in Vancouver WA, USA. Dave was born in Campbell River, BC Canada on July 16th 1937. He grew up in Camp 5 and Campbell River and was a member of the graduation classes of 1955/56/57. One comment at one of the CAHIRI class reunions was "Grade 12 was the best 3 years of Dave' s life".

Dave started his career with Crown Zellerbach at the Elk Falls mill in 1958. In 1966 he transferred to Eureka, California for the start up of a new mill there and 4 months later transferred again for the start up of the Wauna Mill near Clatskanie, Oregon where he worked until his retirement in 1992.

After retirement from the Wauna Mill, Dave worked part time as a consultant in the paper industry until retiring for good in December of 2011. His consulting work took him to many places in North America and also to Russia including Siberia.

Dave leaves behind his wife Maria (Ria) in Vancouver WA, son Steven and grandsons Matteo, Lorenzo and Dominic in Seattle WA, son Michael (Kristen), grand daughters Molly, McCall, and grandson Matthew in Camas, WA.

To my long time friends Reg Eaton and Larry Lundrigan. See you in heaven. You think?

"As an end note Dave was eternally grateful that he had privilege and great luck of being a teenager during 50's decade. What a glorious decade it was. Beer, girls and Rock & Roll! Who could ever imagine being lucky enough to have Elvis, Haley, Jerry Lee, Fats, Berry and a multitude of others all hit the scene in the mid 50s. The 50s gave us simultaneously great looking cars, girls, and the greatest music ever. How great that was and how lucky we were."
