Cynthia was born in Birmingham, England to Percy and Florence Pound, predeceased by both parents, three brothers and three sisters. After graduating from Yardley Wood Senior School in 1951, evening studies enabled her to become a Legal Stenographer and work for the Birmingham Law Society before marrying and emigrating with Trevor to Saskatoon, Sask., Canada in 1960.
Cynthia continued her career until Glenn was born then moved, as Trevor's government work required, to Nanaimo, British Columbia (1969), Masset (1973), Langford (1979) and finally The Cove, Mill Bay in 2001.
My sweetheart for almost 70 years and my loving wife for sixty-five, Mother to Sons Glenn (Tanis) and Brian (Elizabeth), Grandma to Levi, Ciaran and Anna.
Cynthia passed when her heart finally abandoned the continuing struggle in the early evening of Sunday, March 27th, 2022, at the Trillium Care facility of Acacia-Ty-Mawr, Shawnigan Lake, B.C., Canada. No more pain, no more struggle, peace at last, my love.
My sincere thanks go to all the medical personnel who performed the occasional miracle and dedicated so much time to Cynthia's health care and wellbeing for so many years.
