It is with great sadness that we announce that Ray lost his valiant fight with cancer on Friday, August 28, 2020 with his loving wife by his side. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Pamela (nee Bolingford); son, Gary (Nancy); daughters, Renee (Mark) Daniel, Darlene (Gene) Plymale; stepson, Frederick (Frank); sister, Ethel Best; grandchildren, Daniel Roberts, Nicole Pejovich, Patrick, Lauren and Alyssa Peaslee, Michael and Matthew Sustaita, Lisa Tangaroa, and Amanda Botha; 9
great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; innumerable cousins; and many extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Lula (nee Rood) and Charles Peaslee; brothers, George, Albert, and Arthur; sister, Mary Dugan; and infant son, Leo.
Ray was born in Arkansas, USA and grew up in California. After serving in the Korean War, he spent most of his working life in the US defense industry. His great passions were family and old cars.
Ray was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America for over 50 years and judged at car shows in California. He knew the history of every brand ever manufactured.
When it became necessary to make a decision about his care, Ray elected for palliative care at home and the family wishes to thank all the Community Health Care Staff, nurses, and doctors (Ray's ladies and gentlemen) who gave so tirelessly of their time and love. We could not possibly have done it without you!
