January 29, 1944 - September 2, 2021
Carol, a caring and loving mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, wife, and good neighbor, left this world in peace on September 2, 2021 at age 77.
She was born to Norman and Grace Heighington on January 29, 1944 in Red Deer Alberta. Carol was the 4th eldest of 7 children (Norman, Ken, Marilyn, Shirley, Bryon, John Heighington).
Carol spent her formative teen years growing up in Prince George BC until she met and married Roy Eldridge (deceased in 2014). After several moves between Washington State and BC, during which time she gave birth to Norman, Shae and Marne, she settled in Prince Rupert to raise her family. Eventually Carol and Roy settled in Duncan BC in 1994, to be closer with their children's families who had settled in southern BC and Vancouver Island, and to live out their years in their dream home.
Throughout life, Carol enjoyed the simple pleasures, such as a morning coffee watching the birds and deer outside her home, or an evening with family and a glass of wine. Carol loved the beauty of nature, forests, lakes, rivers, oceans and mountains, and raised her family to appreciate the same. She also appreciated a fun time, and enjoyed music, dancing, and camping get togethers with family.
Carol is predeceased by her husband Roy and her daughter Shae. Carol is survived by her daughter Marne (married to Peter Stelzer and grand children Curtis and Shannon), her son-in-law Doug Webber (with grandsons Brock, Scott and Thomas), her son Norman (and his family Lyra and Jasmine), brother John, and sister Shirley.
Always loving, always loved. Today she dances with angels.
