The children of Betty Janet SHANNON, born April 2nd 1936, wish to inform her extended family and friends of her passing on Monday the 5th of June 2017 at her home. Betty was a loving and devoted wife to our father Ray (pre-deceased) as well as a caring and nurturing mother for us, her grandchildren and great grandchildren throughout her life, no matter where in the world we were. She will be deeply missed and although her passing brings us sadness, it also brings us joyful thoughts and memories of that little girl from the prairie who grew to be a wonderful woman with a beautiful heart and soul. Always one to make us all laugh with her unique sense of humour, she is now in heaven, reunited once again with our father. From her loving sons, Zane (Mina), Lance (Darlene), Eric (Toni), daughter Kelly, grandchildren Claire, Grae, Kacey, Bren, Kym, Tara, Tess, Shae, and great grandchildren Domonic, Oslo, Axel, Scarlett, Sage and Hunter. We would also like to express our appreciation and gratitude to Dr Robyn McEwen and the palliative community care nursing team, in particular nurses Tamara, Natalie, Karen, Kendra and April for their professional and compassionate manner in the caring of our mother during her short illness.
